Second class and other news....

I had my second meetup class. The theme was Mother's Day and birthday cards. Only 1 person came to this class ;( but the next day Sunday another member fo the group stopped by with her adorable son Charlie (he's 7) and a budding artist already. Here are some of the pics from that event.

My First class

As I said below I am now a Demo for SU! and I have a meetup group. Here's the info:

I had my first meetup and here are some of the pictures of the event. We had a blast!!!

New Creations!!

So many things have happened in the last month. To start with I became a demonstrator for Stampin' Up!. It took my friend Heidi only 3 years to convince me but she finally broke me down. Blame the economy for some of it- we're broke and every little bit of extra money counts. I'm still running at a deficit, but I know things will get better soon (I hope!!).

So to start off with here are some creations I recently made. Some were made with SU products and some weren't- I am an equal opportunity contrabandist after all. LOL Some of them I made at workshops that my fellow demos taught.

And I even had a little crafting class with some of my friends' children. I had a wonderful time and they loved their creations. .

This is Sophia's Valentine's Day shirt. I made it in my Cricut and now I want to make more. I loved it!!

2 cards and 1 LO!!

Soo, I surprised even myself. It's only January 9th and I've already completed 1 LO (for the challenge) and 2 cards.

The LO's pic will be coming shortly.

The pics are not the best since I had to take them from my cell phone.

1 is for a couple at my church who just had a baby boy named Max. (for those of you with Cricuts, this is the project card on the graphically Speaking cart. I love it!!)

This other card is for one of the choir members who lost her dad this week. I based it on a card I made at one of Heidi's classes.

New Year- New ME!!!

Happy New Year, everyone. I hope that 2009 will treat everyone kindly. I know I am glad that 2008 is gone. Other things that are gone are my 401K account, but we'll leave that for another day. hahaha

So as with any new year, the resolutions are coming up. Mine are pretty simple: Eat better, exercise more and scrap a whole lot more. Here's to new resolutions, new beginnings, new years, new hopes and dreams. And here's to working hard to making those dreams and hopes a reality.

Thanks for visiting my new crafty blog. Thsi will be dedicated to just plain and simple scrapping/crafting things. That also includes my renewed obsession with baking cookies and cupcakes (Hmm, maybe that won't go too well with my new resolutions). Enjoy your stay and please, remember if you see a creation I "scraplifted" from you and I don't give you credit- call me on it people. I promise I'm not trying to steal from you.
